Here's a comprehensive review and recommendation for the Coursera course based on the details you provided: --- **Course Review and Recommendation: Underwater Photography Made Easy** I recently enrolled in the **Underwater Photography Made Easy** course on Coursera, and it has been a game-changer for my diving and photography skills. Four years ago, I bought my first compact camera specifically for underwater adventures. Since then, I’ve captured thousands of stunning images, shared my passion on social media, and even earned recognition in various underwater photo contests. My journey has been entirely self-taught, and I’ve found it challenging at times to learn from professionals who often forget what it’s like to start out. This course stands out because it’s designed from the perspective of a passionate, part-time diver who still remembers the hurdles of beginner learning. The instructor walks you through everything—from choosing the right equipment, whether you’re using a GoPro or a compact camera, to upgrading to mirrorless or DSLR systems. What I appreciated most is how practical and relatable the content is; the instructor shares real-world tips that would have saved me a lot of frustration early on. The instructor’s approach is encouraging and empathetic, making the complex world of underwater photography accessible. They acknowledge common pitfalls and provide straightforward advice that demystifies the gear and techniques involved. Overview

4 years ago I bought my first compact camera and took it diving. Today I've got thousands of followers on social media, I have won or placed in a few underwater photo contests and I have been recommended in the world's largest online scuba community as someone to watch. I'm not a professional photographer, I'm just a part-time diver with a regular job who loves to share what I see in the ocean with others. Unlike all the pro's out there my journey is fresh in my mind and I know how frustrating it can be trying to learn from people who are so advanced that they have forgotten what it was like to be a beginner. You can get award-winning footage from a Go Pro or a compact camera - I'll show you how. If you are looking to upgrade to a mirrorless or DSLR setup - I remember how frustrating it was trying to get my head around all the accessories I would need to buy, so I will walk you through it. Let me show you what I wish someone had shown me. I guarantee that your next dive or snorkelling trip will yield you much better results. This course is a journey - our journey. It's content is living and I'll be providing monthly updates with more information as I respond to feedback and I continue to learn and explore.
