Overview

This course is intended for sports enthusiasts, coaches, managers, team owners, players, athletes, and anyone who wishes to go deep in understanding more about the global sports of Cricket, Lawn Tennis, Field Hockey, and Football or Soccer. My endeavor is to help you become a thinker of the game as you explore the different ways of looking at the sport from all possible viewpoints per se. I welcome you to the course with an open mind as there will be lots to learn once you get going with the course. The world of sports is changing at a rapid pace today. The players are getting more fitter, the team managements are becoming far more impatient for the results. The coaches and the players are facing tremendous pressure to perform or perish. Given all these scenarios, it is important for them to understand the data generated from the games from an all round and a holistic perspective so that they can take proactive, intelligent data-driven decisions to enable the teams and the players to deliver superior performance time and again. This course is also intended for present and future sports analysts as this will help you prepare well for your interviews by positioning yourself not only as an informed analyst but also as an avid thinker of sport with an eye for detail as far as sports data is concerned.
