Overview

This course (section 2) is aimed at English speakers who would like to learn basic - intermediate level Japanese conversation. If students have completed "Japanese conversation for English speakers (section 1)" or they have any prior basic knowledge of Japanese, it would be perfect to improve their knowledge. Students will be able to learn 4 basic forms of verbs (Dictionary-form / Masu-form / Te-form / Nai-form ) and how to make each of them. Then, they can learn a variety of expressions with various verbs and adverbs. Each lesson is related to the former lesson, which enables learners to review and learn more. I frequently compare Japanese grammar to English grammar to avoid confusion. At the end of the course, students will be able to hold basic - intermediate level conversations in Japanese.Lesson 1: 4 Basic Forms of VerbsLesson 2: Dictionary-form to Masu-formLesson 3: Dictionary-form (1) Expressions for AbilityLesson 4: Dictionary-form to Te-formLesson 5: Te-from (1) Expressions for Positive RequestsLesson 6: Adverb "Zehi"Lesson 7: Te-form (2) for Progressive formLesson 8: Te-form (2) for Progressive form (2)Lesson 9: "Hai" and "Ee"Lesson 10: Te-form (3) / (4) Expressions for Permission / ProhibitionLesson 11: Te-form (5) as a ConjunctionLesson 12: Dictionary-form to Nai-formLesson 13: Nai-form (1) Expressions for Negative RequestsLesson 14: Conjunction "Kara" to make causal clauseLesson 15: Particle "E" with moving verbsLesson 16: Interrogative Pronoun "Donna"Lesson 17: Other Verbs in Group 1Lesson 18: Other Verbs in Group 2 and Irregular verbsLesson 19: Dictionary-form (2) Expressions for PossibilityLesson 20: Pre Masu-form (1) Expressions for "too much"Lesson 21: Pre Nai-form (1) Expressions for ObligationLesson 22: Te-form (6) Expressions for "try ____ ing"Lesson 23: Suggestion Form (2) / (3)Lesson 24: Desire Form (2)Lesson 25: Particle "Kara" and "Made"Lesson 26: Interrogative Pronoun "Dono Kurai"Lesson 27: Vocabulary - PlacesLesson 28: Basic Directions and Particle "O" (2)Lesson 29: Expressions for "the first time"Lesson 30: Review of This Course & Quick Review for the Section 2Additional Section - Review in Japanese writingThe conversation written in JapaneseChallenge Quiz - Japanese Writing
