Overview

In this animation class, I will give you a behind the scenes look in how I animated a bird flying from start to finish. I'll teach you the logistics, subtleties, and great care that goes into breathing life to a character through the illusion of life. First, I will show you how to plan out your animation through preliminary sketches and motion trail graphs. Then we will create our animation drawings, including - the Keys, Extremes, Breakdowns, and In-betweens. Next we will be animating in the character and nailing down the character's basic movement. And finally, we will focus on animating the secondary stuff to the character, such as wings and the head, to complete our animation.This class is accessible to everyone, from the average person who is just starting off in the art form to the person who already has experience in the art form. This class is great for beginners, hobbyists, and professionals in the field because you can use all these skills to further your understanding of the principles of animation. You can apply these skills to multiple situations outside the class with animation made for your demo reels, social media, and short films of your very own.I encourage all of you to share your work around here, because we're all in the same boat.
