Overview

This course is about how technical developers who are individual contributors (not leads) in the IT services industry focussed on software development projects for clients can achieve software project excellence by using the right delivery and people skills. Technical skills are a given but that alone will not give excellence. You need the right delivery skills to manage the process. At every stage you have to work with teams, and also challenges will keep up. Therefore you need good people skills to build good relationships with people and gain trust. This will help manage the challenges effectively and achieve excellence. This course is born out of my own 24+ years of exposure to the IT Services Industry. My learnings especially from failures, mentoring and my colleagues have helped me design this course with the real skills that work on the ground. Moreover, I have added typical scenarios that are faced by technical professionals on a regular basis and how these situations can be effectively managed using the skills I have discussed. Most of the situations need interaction with people and influence them and here I have outlined the people skills to be used.
