Che cos'è una subnet? Come funziona la suddivisione di una rete in sottoreti? Perchè a volte è utile farlo?Questo percorso di apprendimento ha lo scopo di dare una risposta a queste e altre domande nell'ambito del networking.Il subnetting risulta un argomento tosto per molti studenti di informatica che lo affrontano per la prima volta alle superiori, quindi la missione di queste lezioni è quella di rendere il subnetting un argomento facilmente comprensibile e alla portata di tutti.Per comprendere pienamente il funzionamento del subnetting è necessario conoscere alcuni concetti basilari dell' informatica a livello sia teorico che pratico e, per sicurezza, vengono spiegati all'inizio del corso.In particolare, prima di affrontare il discorso del subnetting verrà spiegato:- il concetto di indirizzo IP;- il concetto di host e nodi intermediari;- il concetto di switch;- il concetto di router;- differenze tra IPv4 e IPv6;- il concetto di default gateway;- differenze tra IP privati e pubblici;- il concetto di bit e byte;- il concetto di IP di loopback;- il prompt dei comandi;- ipconfig e ping.Addentrandoci nel subnetting vedremo:- che cos'è una subnet;- che cosa si intende per subnetting;- perchè a volte è utile creare subnet;- differenza tra reti piatte e reti subnettate;- comunicazione tra subnet;- la pianificazione;- il subnetting tradizionale in pratica (usando gli IPv4);- calcolare le sottoreti e gli host;- che cos'è il VLSM;- perchè a volte è utile creare subnet anche quando si usano IPv6.
