This structured approach is not part of the project management however change management and project management overlaps with each other and they have level of interdependence depends on the type and complexity of the change and level of risk associated with it.Change management focuses on the process of moving toward the future state and applies tactics to sustain this transformation to become the new norm of the Organization.
