** An overview of the arterial tree, from the aortic arch, to the distal branches of cerebral arteries using illustrations, skull model, models of cervical vertebrae & angiographic images.This includes:- Aortic arch, its branches & its common & less anatomical variants.- Segments & branches of the following arteries: common carotid artery (CCA), internal carotid artery (ICA), anterior cerebral artery (ACA) & middle cerebral artery (MCA).- Segments & branches of the following arteries: subclavian artery, vertebral artery (VA), basilar artery (BA) & posterior cerebral artery (PCA).Hand drawn illustrations are followed by plates including summary of each piece of information. Also, angiographic images are included to form a base for understanding cerebral angiography & facilitate interpretation of various vascular studies of the brain.Segmentation of the internal carotid artery (ICA) is discussed following modified Fischer classification (Alain Bouthillier classification).
