Learning to Explore with Generative AI

In this module, you will learn to teach kids how to use Generative AI as a tool to augment and amplify critical thinking and creativity.

Prompting with Photos: Multimodal Prompting for Kids

One of the best ways to engage with Generative AI with kids is through photographs. This module will teach you how to prompt with photos and some amazing ways to empower kids with multimodal prompting.

Asking for Options, Not Answers

Too often, people use Generative AI as an answer generator, rather than an option generator. When we are confronted with multiple options, it engages our critical thinking and personal aesthetics. Options force us to think about which one we are going to choose and why. This module teaches you how to use options to break out of the mode of using Generative AI to do the thinking for you.

Iterative Refinement with Prompts

Too many people use Generative AI like Internet search -- we ask it for an answer. The real power of Generative AI comes out when we start using it as a tool to iteratively refine content, ideas, code, and text in a conversation. This module will teach you how to use Generative AI to solve problems through a back and forth conversation.

Overview

My son is going to grow up in a completely different world that is filled with generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, LLama, etc.). I think this is a world of possibility, creativity, and deep thought that will enrich the way we think and solve problems. I want to make sure that my son is set up for success in this new world and understands how to use generative AI in a way that helps him learn, create, and solve problems. Even though generative AI seems obvious to use, it isn't. Really learnin

Reviews

Very interesting course with nice perspective about the use of Generative AI.

I liked this course very much, but there is one thing that could have been better: A certification that could go with us for being good parents or kids.

Fabulous for teachers just starting to introduce AI to their learners

Jules is always great - I think it would have been nice to see some more examples

Really helpful for teaching kids different ways that AI could be used
