第 8 講 道德經中的生命智慧

本講將進入「東亞儒家人文精神的對照系統」第一個單元:《道德經》的生命智慧。主要將聚焦在四個問題:第一,《道德經》作者思考生命的課題的出發點何在?第二,《道德經》思想中的生命觀的核心理念是什麼?第三,《道德經》思想中的生命觀如何在現實世界中落實?第四,古代道家生命觀與儒家生命觀的差異何在?在這個部份,我們希望藉由對照系統來彰顯東亞儒家人文精神的特殊性。

第 9 講 禪宗的生命智慧

本講我們要進入東亞儒家人文精神的第二部份對照系統中的佛教思想—禪宗的生命智慧,以便與儒家思想對照。本講將討論兩大問題:第一,佛教的基本思想為何?佛教來華,經歷何種發展歷程?第二,中國大乘佛學思想中的生命智慧是什麼?這種生命智慧在21世紀具有何種啟示?

第 10 講《心經》的生命觀

本講所要討論的問題有三:第一,《心經》所認定的生命之本質是什麼?第二,《心經》所提出的生命之目標何在?如何達到生命的目標?第三,《心經》的生命觀與儒家的生命觀有何異同?

第 11 講 朱子的人文精神(1):「理一分殊」說

本講要進入本課程第三部份「東亞儒家人文精神的展開」,我們首先要談的是朱子的「理一分殊」說。本講要探討的問題有三:第一,21世紀「全球化」趨勢對世界文化帶來何種結果?第二,朱子如何安頓「人」與「世界」的關係?第三,朱子的「理一分殊」說,在全球化時代有何新啟示?將面臨何種新挑戰?應如何因應?

第 12 講 朱子的人文精神(2):「仁」說及其在日本與朝鮮的迴響

在東亞儒學史上,同一個儒家價值理念會在不同地區獲得新的具有地域特質的詮釋,由此而見證儒家思想的內在動力與活力。因之,本講將依次探討三個問題:第一,先秦孔孟如何論述「仁」?孔子與孟子的「仁」說有何特質?第二,南宋朱熹的「仁」說內容如何?有何思想史新意義?第三,朱子「仁」說東傳日本與朝鮮以後,受到德川時代日本儒者與朝鮮儒者何種批判?日本儒者提出何種新詮?其得失如何?

第 13 講 東亞儒家政治思想中的仁政論述及其理論問題

本講提出三個問題:第一,東亞儒家「仁政」在中國的源起與發展如何?在日本與朝鮮的儒家「仁政」論述如何展開?重點何在?第三,東亞儒家「仁政」論述有何理論問題?未來有何發展的可能性?

第14講 中國史學傳統中的儒家人文精神

在中國傳統史學中,「事實」與「價值」存在一種辯證性關係,「事實」的意義必須在「價值」的脈絡中彰顯,而傳統史家也常常通過歷史敘事而完成價值理念的建構。因之,本講探討問題有三:第一,傳統中國史學中「事實」與「價值」的關係如何?第二,傳統中國的歷史撰寫有何特徵?第三,傳統史學中的人文精神如何呈現?

第15講 儒家人文傳統在現代臺灣:發展與問題

傳統中華文化價值在臺灣保存最多,傳統中國人的美德,在臺灣社會處處可見。而傳統儒家的價值理念,像空氣一般融入臺灣人民的日常生活中。本講宏觀儒學傳統在戰後臺灣的發展,而探討:第一,儒學在戰後臺灣的發展如何?第二,當代新儒家的主要關懷何在?他們主張的核心課題為何?存在著何種理論問題?

第16講 結論—東亞儒家人文精神的核心價值

本講是本課程最後一個單元,主要聚焦在下列三個問題:第一個問題是東亞儒家人文精神傳統的人性論基礎是什麼?其核心價值理念何在?第二個問題是儒家與道家人文精神的異同何在?第三個問題是儒家與佛教人文精神異同何在?
